Manier & Herod’s Surety and Fidelity practice group had a strong presence at the American Bar Association’s Fidelity and Surety Law Committee’s Spring Meeting, held in Hilton Head, South Carolina May 4-6, 2022. The conference featured panels and presentations from the authors of the 3rd Edition of the Law of Commercial Surety and Miscellaneous Bonds, a book published by the Fidelity and Surety Law Committee through the American Bar Association.
Jeffrey S. Price, as the current FSLC Chair, introduced his partner, Justin Wear, who served as a conference co-chair and co-editor of the book. Justin Wear also led a panel of surety professionals in a discussion about “Commercial Surety – The Claim Professional’s Perspective.” Scott Williams presented a “Surety News Update” with Gina Lockwood from Merchants Bonding Company that provided an overview on judicial bonds in the surety industry.
