Christina Gabriella Buru is an associate with Manier & Herod practicing primarily in the areas of bankruptcy law, surety law, and commercial litigation. Ms. Buru previously clerked for the Honorable Catherine J. Furay of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin and then for the Honorable Bonnie L. Clair of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

Ms. Buru earned her Juris Doctor from St. Johns University School of Law. During law school, Ms. Buru competed in the Judith Kaye Arbitration Competition where her team placed third and received recognition for their opening and closing statements. Ms. Buru also served as an Articles and Notes Editor on the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. Ms. Buru spent a semester working as a judicial extern for the Honorable Sean H. Lane of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. In addition, Ms. Buru interned at UNIDROIT, researching bank insolvency laws. Prior to law school, Ms. Buru received her Bachelor of Arts from New York University.

Ms. Buru is a member of the American Bar Association and Texas Bar Association. In her free time, Ms. Buru enjoys hiking and photography.
