This past weekend, Manier & Herod volunteers served at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to organize and pack meals for families in need in the Middle Tennessee area. In total, the Manier & Herod team organized and packed 6,129 meals! Thank you to the many dedicated volunteers that showed up to support such an important cause.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee opened in 1978 with the purpose of providing a central distribution center for companies, groups, and individuals who wished to help provide food to families and children facing hunger in Middle Tennessee. Since its beginning, Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee has provided over 42.5 million meals to families in need. Despite the enormous effort of Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee and other member food banks of Feeding America, the food crisis from the Covid-19 pandemic continues to impact families throughout the country. Currently in the United States, 1 in 8 people face hunger on a daily basis.
