June 12th thru 14th, Manier & Herod WC defense attorneys, Sarah Reisner, Jenna McNair, and Dave Deming, were honored to be asked to present on Tennessee WC law at the Tennessee Bureau’s annual 3-day educational convention. The panel Presentation, “Today in Tennessee”, walked attendees through the life of a workers’ compensation claim with the focus on moving the claim forward towards a reasonable and final conclusion in a timely fashion, pursuant to Tennessee law. Topics discussed included complex issues such as compensability analysis, how to avoid penalties, panel requirements, denial of claims, tips to reduce exposure on claims, wage statements, settlement of claims (both Initial and Enhanced benefits), and navigating difficult death claims under Tennessee law.
